Doctrinal Statements

The faculty and staff of the Cebu Bible College share the conviction that the Bible is God's authoritative revelation, and that God inspired the very words of the apostles and prophets who wrote the Holy Scriptures (I Corinthians 2:13). Whether from the pulpit or in the classroom, it is our aim to convey the truths of the Scriptures, as they were intended (Ephesians 4:14-16); emphasize what they emphasize (Matthew 23:23; 22:35-40); then equip faithful men to do the same (2 Timothy 2:2).

As an extension of that aim, our primary goal is to make clear to all men the consequences and debt or penalty of sin (Isaiah 59:1-2; Romans 6:23); the inability and hopelessness of man to pay that penalty outside of eternal punishment (Ephesians 2:12); and then the Good News that God chose to pay that penalty Himself, through Christ’s death on the Cross, for all those who choose to place their reliance in God's payment, accept that payment at baptism, and surrender themselves to the Lordship of His Son Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8; Romans 6:3-7).
